This term is used when viewing the unfortunate sightings of denim jeans paired with a denim jacket. So totally hip and acceptable in 1985, but just very sad now. Officially it was born a few years back when a friend from Brisbane came for a visit, and being the fickle weather/cold place Melbourne can be, the only jacket she had bought with her was denim. And her jeans.

Rhianna - technically, she is not clad in the traditional DoD. The white jeans save her from this fatal mistake. It was a close call, but she made it through.
Peaches - oh dear Lord, Peaches. This should be enough of an example to us ‘non-semi-celbs’ that if some one who is fresh, young and hip (and who’s Mother had both the experience of Bob Geldof and the pleasure of Michael Hutchins) can not pull this off, then NONE OF US CAN!
